Transfer Intl NAIA-1 - Domestic
Manila Airport (MNL) is composed of 4 active terminals. The International terminal is also known as Terminal 1 or NAIA-1
The PAL Terminal (Philippine Airlines) is known as NAIA-2 or "Centennial" and has a domestic and an international section exclusively used by Philippine Airlines.
The Domestic Terminal is used by South East Asian Airlines - SEAIR and the new Zest Airways.
The new Terminal 3 is operational since August 1, 2008. Cebu Pacific Air had been the first to move in. They were followed by Air Philippines and PALexpress. This terminal has a domestic and an international section and is still under construction.
The International terminal (NAIA) is linked to the 3 other terminals by direct and indirect roads. The direct way is deserved by a free shuttle bus. The taxis have to take the longer outside road.
Inform the taxi driver about the company you fly with. The drivers got also a bit confused with the terminal designations.
Manila International Airport (MNL)
also known as NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Aitport)
The time to move from one terminal to the other is your most asked question. It is important to know the time you need to go from one terminal to the other. This knowledge prevents you from stress and wasted money.
Typical transfer time from the door of the arriving plane to the door of the departing plane is 3 hours!
We already did NAIA-1 to NAIA-2, door to door in 50 minutes. But this is the exception that confirms the rule. Do not try it!
The table below shows you the travel time from one terminal to the other. The travel time is indicated as best case, standard and worst case. We strongly recommend to set up your travel schedules using the worst case time. It is much better to have some time left than see a "closed" check-in counter.
Add another 45 to 60 minutes for security checks, check-in and your walk to the gate.
