Caves Dive Resort

The beach of Caves Dive Resort comes in and goes away. Season winds Habagat and Amihan play with the sands. During Amihan season there is more sand and during Habagat the sand moves more east. But there is always a sandy beach. On the beach the sand is dark (black is a bit darker) but off-shore the sand is blonde (the Island is called White Island an is only 1.2km away). Black & white do not exsist, but who cares. The colors of the Philippines are green and blue. Green for the vegetation and blue for the sea and the sky.

Sleep in one of these comfortable cottages. Shut off everything and listen to the birds and the waves. After having enjoyed the sunset (from February thru November) you may taste the good local food and then watch a movie on the CATV or enjoy the tropical night on the veranda of your cottage. And if it gets too hot, have a shower and get refreshed by the aircon or the fan. And next morning from 5:00 go to swim. The water is never below 26°C /78°F.

This is the place where I was asked to taste my first kinilaw in my life. Can you imagine to eat raw fish and rice for breakfast? No? Do it! I didn't before, but I said yes at Caves. So, do it!!! I never regret my first and best kinilaw at Caves Dive Resort. Since then I forgot cornflakes, toast, egg and bacon. And in the evening enjoy the sight on the sea. When the sun sets, the beach becomes orange, red, and then pink. Just a few steps from your cocktail. It's also a place to meet friends. I met there one of the most outstanding tourist guides: Hampi and his Hummer going anywhere in Bohol.
