Dear Visitor, Dear Reader,

We launched this website in spring 2007. Since then we got a lot of feedback either by our easy to use feedback form, or by e-mail and even on the phone.

Two of the most asked questions are: Who are you? And why have you created this website?

This is me! The picture was taken on the Maldivian Island of Vilamendhoo.

During the last 23 years I have worked in Geneva, Switzerland as IT manager and CIO. In these functions I have traveled all over our planet.

In 2003 I came the first time to Philippines and fell in love - no, not with a Filipina but with this beautiful country.

Since 1994 I develop websites. When my best friend moved in 1999 from Switzerland to the Philippines, I decided to create a first website for him. It was meant to keep the old friends informed about his new life.

He is the owner of the smallest resort in the Philippines: "The Dumatad Tropic" in northern Panay. This resort is known for its outstanding quality and top-level cuisine.

Finally in early 2007 I decided to move also to the Philippines. Having brought my computers with me, I started this project.

The main purpose of this website is the promotion of ecological tourism and displaying the beauty and variety of nature and people throughout the Philippines Islands.
