Have you packed your luggage, Mr. Andrews?

Last year, CAAP deputy director general, John Andrews, said that he would “resign” should the FAA upgrade to “Category 1” not come to pass by the end of 2013.

“If this does not happen before the end of the year, I will no longer be here. That is my commitment,” that’s the full quote! Now we are February 6, 2014 and fact is:

1. Mr.  John Andrews is still CAAP deputy director general.
2. The FAA just finished its audit on, January 24, and yet, we haven’t seen or heard any cheers! If we had passed, then there would have been a PR orgy, weren’t it?
3. Insiders have heard that there was still a “left-over” of  “only” 14 “deficiencies” that the CAAP,  have failed to address and correct. Are these 14 “deficiencies” the reason why the FAA is coming back again in March?
