Au revoir Georges
This morning French/Greek composer and singer, Georges Moustaki, passed away at the age of 79.

Georges Moustaki composed many many songs for Yves Montand, Henri Salvador, Dalida, Françoise Hardy and Edith Piaf.
Georges wrote more than 300 chansons. The singer and composer stayed his whole life with his poetic and tranquil music from Greek Bouzouki, Flute Turkish, French, and Latin American guitar sounds.
With Georges Moustaki I learned my earliest French words. His quiet voice and his wonderful melodies made my learning a real pleasure.
