Bottle walls – bottle windows
European newspapers are full of a revolutionary way of house construction. They report about bottle-walls built in Nigeria.
The newspapers also write about an average temperature of 18°C (64°F) inside these houses in Nigeria. The minimum outside temperature is 22°C (72°F) in the night in Lagos on the sea shore. 18°C (64°F) are freezing in the tropics. How can they cool down?
Well, it seems, that the sand filled plastic bottles are also bullet proof. This might also be useful here.
Here in Camiguin, the Enignmata Treehouse Ecolodge builds walls of glass bottles. They are beautiful, bring light, are ecologic and save energy.

[Editor’s comment:] I have the strong feeling that the world should have a closer look on the Philippines. People here are more and more recycling and are creative in using recycled material.
