Good News for Bohol Tarsiers

Tarsier Conservation in Upper Bonbon

During years Bohol Tarsiers were held in captivity by restaurants and tour operators along the Loboc river. This natural drama is now finally finished.

There are now only two sites where you can see Tarsiers in their natural habitat:

At the Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella

Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella, Bohol Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella, Bohol

At the Tarsier Conservation Area near Bilar at Upper Bonbon

Both places provide the interested visitors with information and facts about these little animals. While the information part of the visit is better in Corella, the discovery part in Upper Bonbon is easier accessible and you will see more animals.

There are average 5 animals to be seen in Corella. In Upper Bonbon we counted 13 Tarsiers last Sunday. The knowledge of the guides is good in both places and they like to share it with you.
