Laguindingan airport not so bad, but …

Laguindingan Airport didn’t do so bad in the first days. Most of the flights had been on time.

We promised to keep an eye on the flights and their timeliness at the new Laguindingan Airport. The Philippine Airlines flight status is unfortunately not usable. This is why we monitored  the flights of Cebu Pacific Air. The delays are not due to problems in Cagayan de Oro’s new airport Laguindingan but to Manila’s nearly permanent air traffic congestion(*).

Friends who already traveled by  Laguindingan airport told us that the airport were not bad, but the road to the airport would be the perfect test-track for the next “Paris-Dakar” rally. Our friends recommend to wear a helmet in the jeepney and to put a mask on the nose to keep dust out of the lungs.

(*) You may know that we are developing a new “Silent Gardens” website. On one of the pages, you can follow air-traffic in Manila. Want to have a preliminary look?
It’s here  Link (Do not link to these new pages. They will be moved when we are finished).
