Typhoon NURI/Paeng – faster than Speedy Gonzales

Typhoon NURI/Paeng is faster than “Speedy Gonzales”. Yesterday NURI/Paeng had been a Tropical Storm, this evening it is a Typhoon Category 4. Incredible! Lucky Philippines, the Typhoon kept a good distance and is over 1000 kilometers off the cost of the nearest Philippine island. All Saints did cross the fingers for us!
And even better News. This very strong Typhoon will probably never make landfall. The forecasts of all 7 agencies predict that the storm will quickly turn north-east and get lost somewhere in the northern Pacific. In a week or so, the Canadians will get snow…
JMA is still the best supplier of weather data. With their new satellites we expect to get updates every 10 minutes.
And for the records, the current storm data.
