Tropical Storm BAVI vanished

Tropical Storm BAVI vanished as it entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). PAGASA attributed the Tropical Depression the local name “Betty”. 

Tropical Depression BAVI/Betty has rapidly weakened into a Tropical Depression (TD) last night as it tracks over an unfavorable atmospheric condition across the easternmost part of the Philippine Sea. It is likely to dissipate into a Low Pressure Area (LPA) within the next 12 to 24 hours.

Outlook Tropical Depression BAVI/Betty

THURSDAY MORNING: Dissipates into a Low Pressure Area as it tracks due west across the central part of the Philippine Sea, about 670 km east-northeast of Virac. Forward speed increasing again to 35 km/h.
FRIDAY MORNING: Weakens further into a shallow low pressure area as it turns west-southwestward across the western part of the Philippine Sea, about 305 km northeast of Virac. Forward speed decreasing again to 30 km/h.
SATURDAY MORNING: BAVI/Betty continues to decay, near the coasts of Aurora and Quezon Provinces, about 70 km east-southeast of Baler, Aurora. Forward speed decreasing again to 25 km/h.

Northern Luzon may encounter some cloudy skies – not more.
