Camiguin pops up

Camiguin becomes more and more the island in between. Camiguin is still the island in the southern Bohol Sea where tourists find unspoiled nature. But tourists – Filipinos from the mega-cities and foreigners from the cold – are asking for more than diving in pristine waters, hiking in the rain forest, climb a volcano and chill out on empty beaches or a hot spring.

Every end of the year we observe the creation of new bars, restaurants and now a discotheque. Some of the newly established meeting points survive 6 months, others keep up for a year and some few get really implanted and are successful.

Tomorrow, Saturday December 13, 2014 will be a big launching day.

First have dinner

In their picture I saw “Steak House Avenue”. If they really serve real steaks (not Beef Stek Tagalog) then they have a chance. A real “Steak-House” is one of the big missing pleasures Camiguin. But when I read “Beef con Carne” I had some doubts. What is beef with meat – bones al pesto? Maybe it’s just a language problem. Camiguin is such a multi-cultural, such a multi-language island, you always find somebody speaking your own mother tongue. And when they translate – OMG! Check it tomorrow and report!

And the dance

Also tomorrow night, the well known Italian DJ Alberto (aka Alby-dj Moggi) opens his newest discotheque on the highway in Baylao. Alby is well known among the party goers in Camiguin. This summer he successfully contributed in the launch of one of the newest water-parks in Italy. Italy is freezing now, so why not come back to Camiguin and continue to heat up dancers. It’s more fun in Camiguin.
