Tropical Depression Crising brings strong rains to Samar
The NOAH Doppler Radar indicates strong rains by Tropical Depression Crising .
The NOAH Doppler radar is one of the best tools to observe near weather development in real-time. Fortunately the Doppler radar stations in Guiuan and Cebu are working. The Virac and Hinatuan stations display NO DATA AVAILABLE.
Here is the situation at 1:15 p.m. today, Saturday April 15:
PAGASA reports that Tropical Depression Crising is moving west-northwest at 22 km/h. Wind speed near the center is 55 km/h. Gusts can reach 68 km/h. The Doppler radar shows spots with heavy rainfalls (pink). Moderate to heavy rains of 30 to 100 millimeters are to be expected. Wave heights on Samar’s Pacific coast will be between 1.5 and 4 meters.
