Philippine Airlines – The PAL Facebook Scam
The PAL Facebook Scam
Today many of my Facebook friends and even Real-Life friends got attracted by this scam:
Everything is fake
Look at the website’s address: PHILIPPINEAIRLINES.COM-FLYIN.COM. Do you see it? And then Philippine airline! PAL always was and is Philippine Airlines!
It is a setup by flyin.com !!! What precedes is just a luring decoration. Forget the PHILIPPINEAIRLINES.COM- . We could call one of our websites Cebupacificair.com-silent-gardens.com. I hope you understand. If I have a bit of time, I’ll create it. Needs about an hour and you book with me…
In the sandbox
In information security we often use a sandbox. This is an insulated part of our network and of our computer that cannot communicate with anything else inside. Therefore bad boys stay confined – and we can slap them 😉
So I first tried to go to Facebook out of my protected environment. Facebook did not like my preservative. and rejected me. I always thought that hookers rather insist on condoms.
Then I went to flyin.com. See here my surprise:
The only thing I received was a tracking cookie. But there is nothing wrong. Who are they?
Flyin.com is a trademark of the Saudi Ebreez Company.
Saudi Ebreez Company operates an online travel agency. The company was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As of June 21, 2018, Saudi Ebreez Company operates as a subsidiary of Cleartrip Private Limited.
I wish you happy hunting in the company conglomerate!
What happens when I click on the PAL Facebook Scam?
This is the first page of 3 pages with trivial questions. Nothing is dangerous on the page. But you have given away your soul! Look at the grey characters in the link-address. These and many more characters identify you on Facebook. I wish you happy future scamming and a lot of advertisements.
You can really celebrate with PAL
Philippine Airlines on Wednesday announced what it said was its biggest seat sale this year to mark its 78th anniversary.
One-way base fares start at P78 for domestic flights and $78 for international destinations, the flag carrier said.
Over 2 million discounted domestic and international seats will be available starting March 1 to March 10, said PAL vice president for sales Ryan Uy. Travel dates are from March 16 to Dec. 31, 2019.
Just go to the official website of Philippine Airlines.
You do not trust me? GOOD, you understood the lesson.
