Potential bad guy west of Guam …
There is a Tropical Disturbance (LPA 91W) west of Guam. It is still too early to know whether it will develop into a cyclone or not. The conditions for a cyclone are favorable, the waters of the north-western Pacific are very warm, 29 to 31°C.
JMA indicates that this Low Pressure Area (LPA) is slowly moving west-north-west towards the Philippines. We’ll keep an eye on this potential bad guy.
As Typhoon TRAMI / Maring has vanished inside mainland China, the Habagat suction has completely disappeared in the southern Philippines. Here in Camiguin we had mostly blue sky until today. Now the “easterlies” have brought gray clouds.
The weather situation in Luzon should now also calm down. Rain might not complete stop but reduce to slight showers.
