Rains could trigger flashfloods and landslides today
PAGASA warns in their 5:00 AM Weather Bulltin that the Visayas and Mindanao and the regions of MIMAROPA and Bicol will be cloudy with moderate to heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Cagayan Valley Region and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will have light rains. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy with isolated brief rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
These conditions are due to a convergence of the fresh Amihan air-stream from north-east and a wet but warm low pressure area (LPA) flowing in from south-east. Both streams will meet over the Visayas and produce rain.
