Earthquake in Indonesia will not touch the Philippines

The earthquake 500 kilometers from Indonesia’s Aceh province with a magnitude of 8.7, will not touch the Philippines. It seems that the shock wave had been horizontal and will not create a Tsunami. The disastrous earthquake of  December 26, 2004 in the same region had a dominant vertical component, that triggered the devastating Tsunami in Indonesia and Thailand. Even this earthquake did not touch the Philippines.
