Ferry Camiguin – Bohol and Bohol – Camiguin
The Ferry Camiguin – Bohol and Bohol – Camiguin is operating at least until Easter. It sails 3 times weekly on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We publish this information because of the many inquiries we get on all channels. IMPORTANT UPDATE 2016-04-15 at the end of this article!
Usually it’s the rather new and rather fast Super Shuttle Ferry 21 that plies this route. The RoRo ferry can do the 60 kilometres in about 3 hours.
Ferry Camiguin – Bohol
The ferry leaves Balbagon port at 08:00 AM. Balbagon port is about 2.5 km east of Mambajao. It can easily be reached by motorela.
The ferry arrives around 11:00 AM in Jagna. From the port of Jagna walk up to the Bohol Circumferential Road. There you find vans and buses driving to Tagbilaran.
Vans need about an hour from Jagna to Tagbilaran. They leave Jagna when all seats are sold. Buses leave on a regular basis but may be much slower as they stop often to pick up passengers or let somebody get off the bus. Fares are around 100 Pesos per passenger. The bus and van terminal in Tagbilaran is near the Island City Mall, about 2.6 km from downtown Tagbilaran.
The ferry returns to Camiguin at 01:00 PM and arrives in Camiguin at around 4:00 PM.

Bohol departure: 01:00 p.m.
Camiguin arrival 04:30 p.m.
I also called Lita at AMTC. She confirmed the above schedule.
At this moment she could not say if schedules will change during the Lanzones Festival. She told me to call back second week of October.
The guard in the port told me that he heard that the Cebu – Camiguin ferry will soon be available again.
He had heard of a new, modern and big ship that will ply the route. The ship seems even to have an elevator on board. But he didn’t know what company. As soon as I get news, I’ll inform the community.
