Immigration has a new website

Philippines Bureau of Immigration

The Philippines Bureau of Immigration has a new website. We just got a tricky visa question out of Africa. So we had a look at the Bureau of Immigration. And WOW – they have a neat new website.

There is a nice Pinoy style movie clip on the landing page. But after this rather funny introduction, they really get professional now. What a progress!

They advise visitors of the transition of their e-government site:

The public is hereby informed that the official electronic (e)-mail address of the Bureau of Immigration (xinfo@immigration.gov.ph) is currently non-operational due to system upgrading of the e-mail delivery system.

All immigration related concerns and inquiries can be sent to immiPH@gmail.com and binoc_immigration@hotmail.ph. You may also reach us through our hotline number (632)465-2400 local 200. For announcements and advisories, you may also visit our official website at [www.immigration.gov.ph] and official facebook (https://www.facebook.com/officialbureauofimmigration) and twitter (@ImmigrationPH) accounts.

We encourage all tourists, future tourists, aliens, residents and future residents to visit the new website of the Bureau of Immigration. And here you get more information about visa for the Philippines.

[Editor’s comment:] I only hope that they maintained their file structure. Otherwise I’ll have to re-write many, many of our pages. And today is really the day of coincidence. I wrote about honeypots and Ralph and Suzy brought a pot of honey from wild bees. I explained to Butch that “Sigi” is the Swiss short form for Siegfried or Siegfred – and BI Commissioner Siegfred B. Mison surprised me with a new website. I think, tomorrow i’ll write and discuss NAIA and CAAP. Please cross your fingers.
