It sounds like the Pinoy community in Los Angeles is getting a little defensive. Maybe you should visit Boracay again and see for yourself.
It is a shell of it’s former self.

Maybe if more people cared and there was an effort to install standards both business wise and Environmental, the place would maintain it’s brand and reputation. As it stands, it is going to continue to be marginalized and soon will be overbuilt and obnoxious, catering only to local Philippine residents and sending the foreigners with money to other places. Without money the place will certainly implode and no one wants this.

This is what happens when there are no rules, no laws, no enforcement of any regulations, no EMS, no accountability. It is the wild west and no one can deny it.

[Editor’s comment:] No, this is called wild south-east! And yes, Pinoys do not understand business, they need Chinese, Americans and Europeans to run business for them. Then, they can complain.
