Camiguin Ferries – New Schedules

Camiguin Ferries

Camiguin Ferries do have a simple principle – either they sail or they do not. Now it seems that the Philippine Coast Guard has intensified their supervision of the ferry operations. The result should be more ferries sailing on time. Hope dies last!

Camiguin Ferries Schedule

Camiguin Ferries Schedule

When going to Camiguin, you have to rely on the Camiguin Ferries from Balingoan to Benoni. The trip lasts between 50 and 75 minutes when the sea is calm. But we already were shaken during 3 hours when the waves were high and water currents were strong.

It is said that the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is now heaving a closer look at the ferry operations in Camiguin. You may contact the PCG in Camiguin by e-mail: cgss.camiguin@coastguard.gov.ph  or by phone/text +63 (0)905-292-9327.

The ferries from Camiguin to Bohol operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday . Their schedule is
Balbagon 8:00 a.m. – Jagna 11:00 a.m
Jagna 01:00 p.m. – Balingoan 04:00 p.m.

Travel time is about 3 hours. With a bit of chance you can observe dolphins and flying fishes

Please contact Super Shuttle Ferry: +63 (0)88-387-4034

CAUTION #1:

If you have to catch a flight in the morning from Laguindingan (Cagayan de Oro), we strongly recommend to travel to Cagayan de Oro the day before. Bad weather, a broken machine or any other reason may delay or cancel ferry trips.

CAUTION #2:

During the Lanzones Festival in Camiguin, October 18-25, 2015 the ferries will be extremely crowded. You risk to have to wait several hours in the ports. Especially car transportation capacity will be very limited. We have seen cars queueing up for 12 and more hours.

    There is a small mistake in this info … Jagna 01:00 p.m. – Balingoan 04:00 p.m.
Should be Balbagon (Camiguin) and not Balingoan (Mindanao)

      Hello HoJ.CdO,
Thank you very much for the error alert.
With all these B here (Bohol, Balbagon, Benoni and Balingoan) I hacked too fast.

Current operation between Balbagon (Camiguin) and Jagna (Bohol):
      Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday
      Balbagon departure 08:00 a.m.
      Jagna arrival 11:30 a.m.
      Jagna departure 01:00 p.m.
      Balbagon arrival 04:30 pm.

And yes, its UFN (Until Further Notice)

      Thanks and cheers, waebi

Good day! How much all in all we pay for our fare from Balingoan to Benoni for 7 adults and a child and our AUV vehicle (Mitsubishi Adventure) ? Schedule departure in Balingoan will be on Sept. 25, 2018? I need your reply immediately. Thank you!

    • waebi says:

      Hello Ronald,
I did the trip just today with my Toyota Innova (considered to be a SUV by the ferry companies).
Ticket and fees car with driver = PHP 1,760.00
Ticket and fees per passenger = PHP 200.00
So you risk to spend PHP 3,160.00

It could be a bit less, becaus children up to 2 years are free.
It could be abit more, because I counted 6 passengers and 1 driver.

      Happy trip to Camiguin.
      Cheers, waebi

Hi … Do you know how much is the parking fee overnight for those who will not bring their car to Camiguin?

    • waebi says:

      Hi Cha
Where do you come from? Balingoan (Mindanao) or Jagna (Bohol).
Over in Balingoan I heard that you can leave the car within the port premises for 25 Pesos for 24 hours.
For the possibilities in Jagna you should contact the port authority.
      Cheers, waebi
