Typhoon SOULIK/Huaning has entered PAR
The Powerful Typhoon SOULIK / 07W has entered the northeastern border of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and got the local name “Huaning. This typhoon is so strong that it could become a Super Typhoon later today. The threat to Taiwan and the Yaeyama-Miyako Islands increases hourly.
PAGASA estimates in their 11:00 bulletin that the typhoon will be at 820 km East of Itbayat, Batanes by tomorrow morning and at 450 km Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes by Friday morning. By Saturday morning, it will be at its nearest position to the Philippines at 450 km North of Itbayat, Batanes.
